Hi! I get married in a month & a half and am stressing about my bra situation. I have size 34DD (maybe DDD idk I haven’t measured in a long time but all I know is they’re large 😅) and they also aren't perky in the slightest. My dress has teeny tiny beaded straps with a super low plunge neckline. I’ve tried boob tape but every time I do it either shows or it doesn’t hold enough. Any suggestions on what I can try?? I’m worried I should have picked another dress but it is so beautiful and I obviously can’t choose a new one now. (I’m able to adjust them to sit in the cups but they don’t stay — see pic) Bra Help !! 1

Unrelated but I’m also worried about the straps breaking… has anyone had that happen??
I usually dress for comfort so I’m so worried something is going to happen and I just want it to be perfect! (As every bride does of course)
Any and all advice will be sooo appreciated. Thank you!!!!

Maybe check with a seamstress to make sure everything is good for the wedding. If it seems uncertain about the straps, you can also have a repair kit with you -- mainly for quick sewing tasks. There are other things to have handy -- such as a stain remover kit and maybe tape and scissors and such.

Try this https://juicybodygoddess.com/shop/ols/products/big-otitty-tape which the tutorials say can be trimmed so that excess doesn’t show. That is going to be your only option given the style of the neckline.

There are people who say to ask a seamstress to add cups to the dress but those actually won’t provide any lift or support if you are larger than a perky A/B cup that needs no support. The only thing that they do is pad the nipples. Strapless bras have a tendency to slide even when “correctly measured” and they will show through the plunge.

TBH I don’t think any of those solutions are likely to work very well. IMO the issue is simply that the top is too revealing for your figure type. You can try the tape etc. but I would look into an insert for the plunge in your place if there are no other options. Good luck.

I agree with CM. I would think about adding an insert at the bottom of the plunge to kind of pull and hold the cups together in the middle. Right now it sort of looks like the bust part could separate at the top and you could fall out. I'm not sure a bra or tape could fix the situation.

I've added extra layers of mesh since this picture to cover up some of the cleavage showing.. I'm not worried about falling out of the top, I just want advice on how to hold them up -- so this isn't super helpful & kind of makes me feel worse! also I asked for suggestions, not your opinion on how it fits so thank you so much!!

To be fair, it did sound from your post like you were worried about falling out of the top when you said they don't stay in the cup. Hope you find something that works for you!

Boomba is incredible. they have different cup shapes and will hold your dress exactly where you need it to go. I got a couple pairs and I adore them.

What undergarments were you wearing when you tried on this dress? My suggestion is to build support from the bodice. Look for a full-length bustier, nude colored, with underwire cups and a deep plunge. Many shapewear with a deep plunge stay in place with straps at the top, and shorts or a brief. But, maybe you can find one with removable straps and afix double-sided tape to your person and then between the bustier and the dress so you all move as one. I also suggest adding 2 additional spaghetti straps to help alleviate the pressure on your shoulders. As host, you will be moving alot and a single strap just may be too much weight, unless the dress fit on the torso is tight and can help hold the dress up. For strap chafing (and thigh chafing even), I recommend BodyGlide.

Your seamstress should be able to tell you which product to purchase. I was having the same concern and she sent me an Amazon link. I purchased it and took it to my fitting, and she instructed me how to put it on.
