BR- UPDATE: My daughters Ultrasound PICS

Well most of you know my daughter had her ultrasound today (she's 21weeks 5days), great news the baby is perfect. We are relieved.

The baby has (ICEF) Intracardiac Echogenic Focus, which means a bright or white spot on the babys heart was observed via ultrasound. Which is sometimes associated with down syndrome or other birth defects. Apparently, the Dr says its common in babies with parents of asian descent.

    So what does ICEF mean for the baby. Is the prognosses ok?

    Nicole- ICEF is Intracardiac Echogenic Focus, which means a bright or white spot on the babys heart, possibly a calcium deposit which is common with asian descent, the father is asian. All other measurements look great- so no concern. We are relieved, looks like Brayden is healthy!

    Adorable! One of my best friends just went through that with her son. She decided not to do any further testing because of the risks and no matter what, you love the baby! Anyhow, he came out perfectly healthy! No worries :o)

    I love her bump! I'm glad every things going well for her. Cant wait to see pictures once the baby's born!
