Bow tie or Long tie

No ties for our guys! If you want bowties, then that is what you should go with. Just have someone that knows how to tie them help the other guys out....or get a clip on, lol.

Depending on where you're getting them, you can get pre-tied ones. My FH loves bowties, but doesn't know how to tie them, so we went with pre-tied to alleviate any stress! We bought ours from an Etsy shop that matches david's bridal colors.

My fiance doesn't like bowties so everyone in the bridal party will have long ties. I also happen to like how bowties look better. But this is totally up to you and your fiance.

My FH wants to wear a bow tie and wants his groomsmen to wear long ties. I think it's all just personal preference. You can get pre-tied bow ties. The Black Tux website has some nice style articles on ties vs bow ties

I hate bow ties. But some like them. If guys like the lol of bow ties, show them how to tie one correctly. It took my 4 year old 8 tries over a half hour, to get perfect, because he wants to do it his own self like Daddy, when he is a bouquet boy in a cousin's wedding in 2 weeks. Long ties or bow ties, a little help and practice. They were not born doing any kind. Or tying shoes and sneakers. But I find " I don't know how" sad from an adult. When my brother pulled that at 16½, my Dad said he would not take him to get his license the following week, because a man who cannot learn to tie a tie, should not be trusted to operate a car. And yes, he got his license, on schedule.

I left all groomsmen attire decisions up to FH. He knows better than I do what the guys would rather wear.

Haha yeah it took some persuading to get my FH to make a decision, but I told him that was his one responsibility for the wedding. He was really wishy-washy at first, and finally I told him he just had to make a decision and tell the guys.

You are so right. I would look online at photos on Pinterest of bridal parties with long ties and ones with bowties and see which style you both like better. If your fiance can't decide then you just tell him what you like better. Trust me you aren't alone when I say that guys don't tend to help a lot. My fiance and I went to Men's Warehouse together to pick out what him and the groomsmen would wear and he just stood there. All he really said was that he didn't want bowties and would like black. He didn't care if they were in tuxes or suits. He let me decide everything because I was the one that had to look at him all day.

My FH wanted bow ties so that's what we went with.
