Boutonniere Color???

Monica, on February 23, 2011 at 11:37 AM Posted in Planning 0 17

Ladies what color boutonniere should the guys wear if they have pink vests and ties? I don't want to go overboard on the pink but my colors are pink and gray so I'm not really sure what to do. Any ideas???

Do you have any secondary colors? What color boquets are your BMs carrying?

The original thought was to have them carry those roses that are bi-color, I believe they start white and gradually move into a dark pink at the tips. I always thought gray was my secondary color but I may be mistaken, maybe I should've picked another one? I'm kind of freakin out cuz I don't know what to do about the flowers.

You could do white if you want to keep the pink at bay. Smiley smile

Actually a rose like what you described for the bridesmaid flowers would make a great looking boutonniere. Maybe use gray ribbon.

Here is the set up for the guys. The girls' dresses are the same color so we have PLENTY of pink going on.

@Lianne T. that sounds like it would work. At least I could draw in the gray somehow.

I agree that the color-changing rose would work. It does have some white in it. And with a gray/silver ribbon it should look fine. Thanks for the help!!

Monica... the only thing is that will be a lot of pink on your bridesmaids.

The flowers might not show up very well. Unless you do not want contrast?

Maybe look at burgundy (roses, orchids, calla lily), green (like the orchids or roses) or ivory to use as flowers. Make the pink the accent color in the bouquets.

Sweetness Roses - see if your florist has them, if you are sure about the colored tipped.

Oh I like those, there's plenty of white so they'll stand out against the dresses.

I've been thinking the same thing about our own wedding. The guys aren't wearing pink vests/ties, but the girls are carrying pink-ish flowers and we wanted everything to coordinate. We're thinking about something like this:
