Bouquet toss When everyone is married?

So my question is I am basically the last person that I know to get married that is of age I’m 29 😬 lol the only other woman that isn’t married is my big sister. So my idea is for all the women that are ready for a vow renewal as well as the singles go out there.... so basically all the women. What...

I would feel super awkward if I was one of 3 girls that are single to catch the bouquet.

We are doing an anniversary dance instead. The DJ plays a song and throughout tells the couples of less than a year to step off, then less than 5, and so on until the the longest married couple is left dancing. They get a small gift and will be asked how to have a long and happy marriage.

Yeah your situation is mine exactly. Not doing a toss. Done.

I think you should do it. I think it would be fun and a nice homage to your anniversary-long-time married gals. There are no rights and wrongs - just do what makes you happy. I think it would make for a golden moment.

If you have your heart set on throwing something, I'd either make it so everyone is involved, or do a kids only toss, and the kid who catches it gets to keep it. You can change up the tradition so it's more about catching something than who is getting married next

We're skipping the bouquet toss as well. We're only having 30-40 guests and besides my little sister who's 30, the only other single females are our nieces. I like the idea of giving the bouquet to the longest married couple!

I only have 2 single girls coming to my wedding on who is in it. I am not sure as to if I am doing a bouquet toss or if I am just going to chunk it at my only friend who is with a guy and wants to get married LOL but we are also doing the longest anniversary dance instead of the garter (mainly bc of our grandparents are a bit religious and in their 90s). This may be a good idea to do instead of a bouquet toss. At the end of ours we are having the last couple standing give advice to us on how to love, honor, cherish and stay friends and how to make it last.

If you do the longest married couple or the anniversary dance thing, I would just make sure that there are not any elderly people in attendance that *would have* won if not for losing a spouse. Just thinking about my wedding, I know that my grandma would have gotten a little sad having lost my grandpa after being married so long.

Not saying you shouldn't do it, just something to keep in mind if you have anyone on your guest list that fits the above situation!!

I personally wouldn’t do it. I always found that tradition to be a no for me.

I like that idea a lot, I might use it!

I wanted to do the bouquet and garter toss, but my FH said only 21 and over. Most of the people that age are in a relationship so we would have very few people.

Anniversary dance is a great substitute! Bouquet goes to longest couple!

When I got married, I didn't do a toss. Only TWO of my female guests were single, both life long friends of mine. It would have been pretty awkward. My bouquet was silk so now I use it as a center piece on my dining table.

Ours is going to be like an anniversary dance as well, but regarding the longest couple gets the bouquet it goes right along with the person who has lost a spouse. My grandmother is deceased, my FH grandparents have been together 60 years they would still be the longest couple and our anniversary will be close to theirs. My grandfather would still be without my grandma. Guess I’m my situation to not hurt feelings I’ll chunk mine to my bridesmaid with the bf lol

I'm not throwing the bouquet in mine. I'm not sure how religious you are, but I saw this one post where the bride had real flowers in her bouquet. She went to all the single girls at her wedding , gave them a flower and quickly prayed with them about their future husband's. I'm not saying you should, it's just a suggestion that I saw that was sweet and a nicer alternative.
