Bouquet Toss - Special Bouquet? Yay or Ney?

Cady, on May 6, 2019 at 4:45 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9

Hey guys! I had a random thought pop in my head today regarding the bouquet toss..... are you guys planning on tossing your actual bouquet or are you going to get a smaller, cheaper bouquet specifically for the toss? I've seen in some weddings lately they get something cheap to toss, or don't do this one at all. I know bridal bouquets are pretty pricey and I just realized today that I should probably not throw THAT, but wanted I wanted opinions on what you guys were going to do or not do for your reception!

My florist is giving me a toss bouquet, it’s included in her price. You can always get a small artificial one. I saw some at hobby lobby a few months back on clearance for $5.

We're skipping the bouquet toss, but I've never seen a bride throw their actual bouquet, only a toss bouquet.

Most florists provide a toss bouquet, so if you go the DIY route that's probably a smart move to copy. We did the toss. And toss bouquet 100% - can't imagine tossing my actual one. It was heavy, gorgeous and had pins/brooches on it. Last thing I need is someone stabbing themselves with a pin while it's mid-air lol

We didn’t do a bouquet toss but I’ve always seen brides do a toss bouquet.

I’m probably going to toss one of my bridesmaids bouquets (mine don’t care about keeping theirs)

I'm putting together a smaller tossing bouquet because I want to keep mine.

I think most people do a toss bouquet nowadays. My parents got married in 1980 and my mom threw her actual (artificial) bouquet. The person who caught it surprised her and returned it about 2 years later. She's really glad to have it still! If you have artificial, I would get a toss bouquet. If you have real flowers, you could probably toss yours since it will die by the time you return from a honeymoon.

Hi Cady! Did you decide if you will get a cheaper bouquet for the toss? I can completely see why you would want to keep your own bouquet Smiley laugh
