Bouquet really necessary?

Trying to decide if I really need to carry a bouquet... maybe do a floral headpiece instead? Thoughts?

@Nicole Z idk. Until now, I didn't give it that much thought.

Hahaha! That looks so uncomfortable, honestly.

I agree that it may not be something important to you, but you might want it in the moment so you're not stressing about what to do with your hands.

It's also comforting to hold something in nerve-racking situations. I like to ski, and I always use poles, even though they rarely touch the ground. Just holding onto something when I'm racing down a hill is calming and keeps me grounded for whatever reason. Holding a bouquet walking down the aisle may have the same effect.

Or I'm just tired because it's early and I didn't sleep well, and that analogy is really reaching. Your call.

Oddly enough, one of the florists that I have been referring for years is on my list because she is so conscious of scale. (Bride to bouquet, centerpieces to ceiling....)

My FMIL is buying wood roses for centerpiece accents but I am not on the rose train so I said no to her making my bouquet out of them...honestly I didn't know what she was talking about at first. Thought it was a type of rose but she specified they can't be mixed w real bc the wood will absorb moisture and I was like huh well I'm an idiot lol

Yeah, yeah yeah....flowers die, music is stilled, food is eaten. It's a day and everything you add into it has a purpose. I pretty much have flowers in the house at all times.

The only thing that carries on is the license and your photos.

Bride I worked with didnt really care for a bouquet either but when it came it was really heavy and she was a tiny 4'11 90lbs. So she handed it to me and shook her head. I placed it in the vase it came with and escorted her to the aisle. She walled alone so she simply rested her hands on her tummy (kinda like where her bouquet would have gone for reference). Another bride at a wedding I attended took the runway approach so her hands were making subtle changes while she walked. That was a different type of entrance all around.

You have time to decide but I wouldn't take a lot of time trying to convince yourself.

@fallinthegarden something to concentrate on...not toppling over and poking out eyes! I'm sure it's very comfy to wear LOL

Personally, I also have the same issues with what do I do with my hands. But I plan on making flowers out of book pages and I'm going to use that as my bouquet. I think flowers are beautiful, but so expensive and they won't last long. It's your day do what you want!

I don't like flowers for a few reasons. I will have a bouquet, but only because I need something to do with my hands. If you don't want one, don't do one.

Are you having two people walk you down the aisle because then I could see tossing out the bouquet
