Bouquet and garter toss ideas

Stephanie, on March 20, 2018 at 4:51 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
Anyone know a way to do a bouquet and garter toss but not have it geared towards the singles? We want to do one but don't have very many single adults coming to the wedding. What else can we call it? What can we do?

Did you still want to use the bouquet and garter? Or are you looking for ideas outside of those items?

I hate it and am not doing it.

I am giving my bouquet to the couple that has been married longest (my DJ will have all of the married couples stand, then ask who has been married 5 years, 10 years etc until only one couple is standing.

Let your new H take your garter off later.

I will be wearing mine and fh will remove. Then we are calling all married couples to stand and will then eliminate by years married the couple with the longest marriage will receive garter and boquet and share a dance together

I personally am not doing one at all - but here's some ideas i've heard/come up with! Hope it helps!

I heard about putting the bouquet in a box and the garter in another box. Give all the women a key and have them go one by one to try and unlock the bouquet box - one will be right. Do the same with the men and the garter box. You could also do something like a hot potato thing and when the music stops, the person holding it wins it.

One thing to note regarding the garter - if you're wearing it for a while it can get a little sweaty, so maybe have one garter to wear and one to give away?

Same here. I have always hated the idea of the toss so I loved the idea of flipping it around and doing something special to honor the married couples.
