Bolero to go with dress?

Meghan, on October 14, 2016 at 6:19 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 37

I hate my arms with a passion, my skin is terrible and my arms are fat, and now that I've lost some weight my arms like have this cottage cheese look. I don't know which bolero to go with. I don't want my dress to look like a business suit (my mom said the bolero I was going to buy made it look like I was in a business meeting). The picture of the dress isn't me. Which bolero goes best with my dress? Would it look better with long, short or 3/4 sleeves?

Honestly, if you hate your arms something sheer and clingy actually emphasizes the flaws rather than covering them up. I'd get an opaque one, or a looser capelet, for more coverage. Failing that, number one in a less delicate lace provides the most coverage of your options.

I was going to say the same as Delfina. I know from experience trying on long sleeve dresses.

Is there any way you can try some on before you purchase?

#2 or #4 - I love the lace ones, but I'd worry about them matching/taking away from the amazing detail on your dress's bodice.

I really like 2 and 4. They're plain, but it won't clash with my dress. I'm afraid a detailed one would. Thanks guys and yes I'm going to try some kn before I buy!

I think you should have sleeves put on- use the fabric they take from the skirt during tailoring

1 is pretty, but I understand what you mean about not wanting it to clash with your dress!
