Blush/ivory gown- what color for bridesmaids?

So I fell in love with a dress that’s blush/champagne colored dress. Originally we were going to have dusty blue or mist color for bridesmaids and a gray suit for the men. However... i feel like dusty rose bridesmaids would look best with my dress. My fiancé is upset because his only opinion was that he wear gray and a shade of blue.. i think it’s too many colors now. I’m getting married at a garden venue so I am doing greenery on tables. What do you guys think? Can i see some pictures of other brides with blush dresses and their parties? Also, having a little anxiety about my dress. I just picked it a week ago and I’m scared my fiancé won’t like that it’s not pure white. I had a second choice that I honestly loved as much as the one i picked, but it was much more formal, plain, and white... does this one still look bridal?

I think the photo you provided of the blush dress with the blue BM dresses is beautiful. Your dress is definitely bridal. I couldn't imagine that dress in any other setting besides a wedding. I think that times have changed and honestly, I haven't seen a pure white dress in the last 4 or 5 weddings I've attended. Your FH is going to love it. Maybe it wouldn't have been his first choice on the rack because he thinks that brides should dress in all white, but he's going to change his mind when he sees you in it.

Your dress is beautiful! I think it would look great with either the pink or blue. If your FH is asking for blue and that's one of his only opinions, I would try to make that happen. Maybe there's a different shade of blue that you like better with your dress? Also, I wouldn't worry about it not being pure white! The lace detailing stands out so much more with the underlay and in the sunshine it won't look as dark!

I’d go with the dusty blue or mist, it will look great! They’re both muted colors so I think they will blend well. I recommend going with your FH’s request, especially if he’s not asking for much. He’s envisioning himself on his wedding day just like you! My FH said he wanted a burgundy suit and his men in dark gray suits so I worked my entire color scheme around it and we’re both happy! It’s going to look great with your original color scheme!

Your dress is gorgeous and totally bridal. It would look good with either one. I think doing the blue makes your dress stand out even more though compared to if you did blush bridesmaids

Also, you should download a collage app and put your dress in with different colors of bridesmaids, groomsmen, florals, etc. it helped me so much to visualize the colors together and next to my own dress. Here’s an example of what I did with some different options:

I am wearing an ivory/champagne dress and the bridesmaids will be wearing mist or dusty blue. I think when it comes to underlays it's best to not look at it as a color, but as a shade of white. Your dress is bridal and you don't need to adjust your color scheme around it. Continue as you would if you had a dress that said white/white or ivory/ivory on the tag. Nothing needs to change!

My dress was actually the same color, but in some lighting (like the ones it looked mostly ivory! We did a light dusty purple for the girls and navy for the guys. I think your dress looks more champagne than blush, so it's pretty neutral. Beautiful dress by the way!

Your dress still looks bridal and your FH will love it. There's less pressure now to wear a pure white dress; off white still looks white and so do a number of other shades of white. If the dress looks white against your skin tone, even if it's not a pure white on the tag, and you love how it looks on you, wear it!

I think your dress would actually work best with Dusty Blue! The shades are very complimentary. I think it’d be harder to find exactly the right Dusty Rose shade to match.

And lol, don’t worry about a thing with that dress! Your fiancé will probably never realize that it’s not “white” 🤣. Your dress is beautiful, very bridal. And he’ll think you look gorgeous in it, because you do!

I feel the dusty blue BM dresses would be better! And then your fiancé can keep his colors too.

I have a champagne colored dress and my MOH is wearing Burgundy. I like the color pops though. I agree with you though that Dusty rose would be really pretty. How important is this to you though? What if you put it to a vote with your BM's? Is that an option? That would be a way to settle it without "dismissing" his only opinion

have you thought some more about your bridal party color scheme? I think dusty rose-colored BM dresses would look amazing with your champagne dress!

I had a blush dress and my girls wore greys. My husband was in father grey and we had sage green and burnt orange accents. I was nervous about the combination but loved it!!

Your dress is gorgeous. my FH wanted me in all white too but hey thats not how it works. My dress underlay is champagne/blush (not quite as noticeable in pictures) My girls are all wearing navy blue and the guys are wearing gray. Our colors are Navy, gray and coral.
