Blush wedding Dress with Blue Bridesmaids?

FutureMrsSlaby, on August 2, 2017 at 11:42 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

My Wedding Colors are Blue and Purple. I am having an early fall wedding in PA. (9/29/2018) . I found my dress and its is Ivory and Moscato (blush). I would love my bridesmaids to wear Royal blue, or slightly darker. Here is the dress I am thinking about. Will the Blue and the Blush look ok next to each other? Anyone have similar colors?

This kind of looks amazing to me. I know it's a little lighter than you had said but check it out.

I think if the blue were lighter it would be beautiful!

I found a couple of different pics with all or most of these colors, and they look great together.

Those two colors work perfect together. I too am thinking of those colors.

I think it would work best with either the dusty blue you posted, or a dark navy. Royal doesn't match a ton of other colors.

ETA: Oops that wasn't you that posted that, @OP.

Thanks Leonn and Justkididing! I really like the color palettes you posted! Bride2Be2018 I do love the look of the dusty blue against the blush wedding gown. Unfortunately my future sister in law wants her bridesmaids to wear this color. Maybe I will go with a dark/deeper blue.

Thank you robyn! I was set on having the royal blue, and then I went dress shopping with an ivory gown in mind, but ended up loving the blush. The more I thought about it, the more I felt like my dress would look weird next to it. You've helped me confirm that I should go with a navy instead!

    I'd chose navy blue.

My dress is peony (blush) with ivory over it, and I'm planning on having my BMs in steel blue from David's Bridal. I agree with others that a less bright blue would look better.

I bet it would be beautiful, what is your dress? I've seen moscato on certain designers and feel as though the blue will make it look more pink which would be awesome

My dress is a Stella York. I feel like the picture I have of the dress has strange lighting and the blush doesn't show through very well. The dress I've attached is very similar to mine. The bodice is ivory, and the skirt is moscato tulle

I agree with PP that a lighter/softer blue would be better!
