Has anyone purchased their engagement rings from Blue Nile? Hesitant buying from an online store. But if you have would love to see your ring and hear your opinions. Thanks

James Allen has such a nicer collection!! I don’t know how to choose!! Thinking about a cushion shaped diamond. But I’ll have him choose the band.

So Blue Nile came through in a major way- they special ordered a part to make my ring in the tiny, delicate setting I wanted. Here’s the finished product 😍

Ooh that’s so beautiful! I do love that east to west setting! I’m so glad they were able to come through for you!! I priced the one I wanted and it was $3,700! So I have to look cheaper. No way I want a ring that much.

What happened with the ring from James Allen? Did you end up not getting it after all ?

Thanks! I absolutely LOVE it. I had found a blog that explained what to look for with each shape of a diamond, what you can get away with as far as color and clarity, etc, and I used that info to choose my stone.

The Blue Nile one, after all the nonsense we went through, came a week ahead of when the James Allen one was schedule to arrive, so once we both saw it and loved it we just cancelled the other order. Which, I have to give major credit to James Allen, they were absolutely LOVELY to deal with. We will very likely buy our wedding bands from them bc FH has his eye on one with a wood inlay.

The other thing with Blue Nile is they beat James Allen with financing- a full year of 0% vs 6 months. Both of them charge huge interest on the total (not just the remaining balance) if not paid in full by the end of that timeline. We’re paying for our own wedding and our payments will be quarterly, and have to be cash or check so anything we can defer just a bit is a huge weight off our shoulders!

Their financing option yea is way better. We are in the same boat paying for the wedding ourselves! My fiancé medically retired from the Army and unfortunately it’s not much. So a deal like that is really good! I’ll have to read up and see if it’s better to choose a better color diamond or the clarity!!
Glad Blue Nile came through for you both it really is a lovely ring!! I keep playing with the app trying on all rings lol

My FH did. It is STUNNING! He purchased it in the store at Tysons Corner VA tho. I've never had a bad experience from them. He's purchased many things from them.

They had had to custom do mine as my ring size is 4.5. The center stone was one of the loose ones they had in the size he wanted, at the store. The style
is Monique Luhillier. Having a small peachy pink sapphire on each side top/bottom of ring behind the center stone, it's got 6 baguettes & micro-pavé around the band- because it's to small or almost touches in the back. It's and open sided, almost Claddagh style....

Yes it is stunning! He did a beautiful job creating your ring. I don’t think I’ve seen that setting on the site. Very beautiful and unique. I love my ring! It’s a great ring. But later down the road if he still wants to get me something more then we will definitely buy either Blue Nile or James Allen. Thank you for sharing

I love that we both have the open sides! 3 stones, past & future are the side smaller & present is the center.... VERY pretty!
