As you can see in the picture I have long blue hair. I was at the salon today and everyone kept asking me if I was going to keep the blue for my wedding. First of all my wedding is some time away and I don't know how I will feel then. Second when I started to say maybe some of the people looked at me like I just murdered a kitten. Is it so "bad" to have blue hair on my wedding day?!

My hair is kind of a teal/blue ombre atm. My mama has asked a few times if I plan to change it, and given me ideas (to tone it down) after I told her it my not be blue, but it would be some of beat color.

I brought up the conversation to my FH whose response was " I barely remember your hair before you colored it. I love your hair, you wouldn't look like my jamie without it". That sealed the deal for meSmiley laugh

How does your FH feel? Not that that has to be a deciding factor, just wondering. ..

You shouldn't worry about how people look at you. You should just be you always and of course on your wedding day! Personally I like the blue hair idea!

Right after I got engaged I dyed my hair purple. I was expecting to have a longer engagement. As soon as we booked a venue I decided to go back to natural. I've had fun colored hair throughout the years but I was worried about how I would feel 20,30,40+ years from now. I was more sure I MAY regret purple hair over natural. It's something to really think about. I figured I can go back to purple or pink whenever I want and have fun with it after the wedding, But those are pictures that I will always look back on forever. It's ultimately up to you.

Thanks Chrissy! Honestly at this point people would probably look at me weird if I had "normal" color hair. Especially FH. He looks at old pictures and says he can't even picture me with boring hair anymore

One of my best friends had blue and black and the other had fucsia and turquoise for their weddings. It's who they are. I have asked them to have natural for my wedding, but that's because that's who I am. Just be who you are!

@Amanda see that I don't think it's right. You shouldn't dictate the color hair of your bridal party. They arnt props. Decide what you want for your hair and let them keep their colors.

Tell them to mind their own business. My wife's hair was pink with purple roots at our wedding and all anyone had to say about it was how amazing it looked.

@Amanda you can't ask someone to change their hair for your wedding. I hope you're planning on paying for that.

I would love to say keep it, be you, but I can't. I hate the colored hair trend and can only hope it dies a hot firey death sooner than later. But I will ask....when you look at pictures in 10 or 20 years will you wonder what the hell you were thinking and if there is one thing you could change it would be your hair or will you still be that person still daring to be different, fun and wacky? That should be your answer.

BTW, I used to wear my hair burgundy, cut really short one side, long on the other. I knew it was a trend and not something I would want to be remembered for in anything like wedding pictures.

If that's what you like and that's you, do it. I know a lot of people prefer a more traditional look because it's timeless and will still look great in 20 years. But I know I would be honored to look at my grandma's wedding picture and see her badass self with blue hair.
