Blue Hair

ShakespeareBride, on April 2, 2016 at 11:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 37

As you can see in the picture I have long blue hair. I was at the salon today and everyone kept asking me if I was going to keep the blue for my wedding. First of all my wedding is some time away and I don't know how I will feel then. Second when I started to say maybe some of the people looked at me like I just murdered a kitten. Is it so "bad" to have blue hair on my wedding day?!

Honestly, you have to be yourself. If you love your blue hair then rock your blue hair! You don't want to look back on your wedding photos and cringe because you were changing yourself just for your wedding. Its like when people ask about covering tattoos, I'm all for being yourself.

Blue hair sounds awesome. I think as long as it looks healthy and is styled well, it should be just fine.

My hair is blue and I'm keeping it that way for the wedding, people will cringe about anything but if you want your hair blue for your wedding then keep it blue and tell everyone who is whiny to suck it.

I agree with Katrina, it all depends on your personality. All you need to ask yourself is how you think you'll feel when you see your wedding photos in 10, 20, 30 years from now. Anyone else should keep their opinions to themselves.

I think you should be who you truly are on your wedding day and look however you feel comfortable looking. If that means keeping your blue hair, then go for it! I'm sure you'll look beautiful and unique rocking a wedding dress with blue hair Smiley smile

If you're happy with your blue hair stick with it. That's what matters most.

Mine is pink with a blue and purple ombré. One of my bridesmaids has varying shades of purple. It's who we are and I won't change for the wedding. But it's the #1 question I get asked!

My hair in the pic here is purple and pink. Currently, it's actually blonde with pink ends. I've been debating what it should look like for the wedding because my default is usually blonde but I really do love having colors in it. I would say think hard about how you want to look back on your wedding photos. It's ok if that vision includes blue hair.

Ugh I just went from reddish purple pink to poo brown today to appease my mother. I am one who alwaaaaays has fun colored hair and makeup but she begged me to tone it down a bit for wedding so I caved today and I'm regretting it hardcore Smiley sad I'm hoping some of the redness shows up in sunlight through pics. But I definitely wouldn't get rid of your blue!! If it's you it's you and that's what makes it your wedding!!

Alley k......dye it again. You want to be you on your wedding day. If you still want your mom happy, put streaks of color.

I can't see the blue hair picture either but I don't see a problem with it

How long have you had it and are you planning / wishing you could have it after the wedding? I think even if you don't want your blue hair in 20 years, you are going to looking back on your pictures and remember your age and feeling how you felt then and who you were - if it's a big part of your life (you love it and / or you've had it for a while) and who you are, then I would keep. I had a color streak (red then blue then purple, etc) but it was just something fun and not really a part of my identity, if that makes sense. I might go back after the wedding but I don't feel like part of me is missing because I'll be all natural for the wedding. If you wouldn't feel like yourself without it, then keep it Smiley smile

UO of course you could keep it (I still haven't seen a pic though) but do you really want your blue hair to be the talking point of the wedding? Because it will be.

I'm not saying to keep it or not, but just a thought.

You should do what you want to do and ignore everyone else.
