Blown up engagement pic?!

Jessica, on February 25, 2016 at 7:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 26

Is anybody getting a big print of one of your engagement pics for the wedding? If so where did you get it and how much was it? I want it to be in the entrance to the reception and then have something to put in our house later. Anybody doing that?

I have always used mpix.com for large prints. They are much better quality than large prints from walgreens or walmart. The prices aren't to bad either.

How big of a print are you taking about? I'm sure we'll do one of our three epics (still bitter) in a large frame.

@katie90:. Im not sure how big, big enough to put on a stand of some sort or lean on a table for guests to see. And a cute piece of wall decor.

@AG: I will try mpix out tonight when I get home

    I'd recommend Staples or Target.

I made a beautiful book on shutterfly! It was only 15 bucks Smiley smile I know that Walmart and cvs blows up pictures as well. We have a 4 by 6 from there that came out really nice!

Thanks for the suggestions. Also I didn't want to start another discussion lol so I'll just ask on this one and hope somebody sees...has anybody bought furniture from Big Lots before? We've been looking at inexpensive sectionals there and are thinking about buying one bc we only plan to stay in the house we're buying for a few years.

I love canvases! I have a bunch of canvases... a couple in our living room, one in the dining room, a couple in our hallway going up the stairs and also a couple in our bedroom haha. They're a mix of e-pics and wedding pics. I love canvaspeople.com! That's the site I usually use, and they frequently run specials.

Mpix.com for sure! We have ordered from there and directly from our photographer. Much higher quality than shutterfly.

Ours was through our photographer. The one over our couch is a metallic print. The others are regular prints. Our wedding photog reccomends mpix and I've used them in the past.

We did no go with this photographer for the wedding. The style wasn't what we wanted and we had other issues with them-plus dear lord were they expensive!!!

@jessicab. I've bought a couch from big lots before, it was super good quality and lasted 4 years and 4 moves haha. I think it's great if you are not wanting to shell out a ton of money for furniture but still want some quality.

@Stacydiane: Our photographer is the most expensive thing for our wedding! So worth it though. @Kamilah:. Thanks! I've been hearing some negativity from other furniture places that charge double/triple what Big Lots is. I just wanted to hear from somebody who has bought from them before!

Our issue was communication. That large one? Was supposed to black and white we only ever saw it j. Black and white. It came in color. They shipped to the wrong address-3 times. And the style wasn't us. Plus the cheapest wedding package (photos only-no albums or access to photos-that's another package, was about 7,000). I won our engagement session with them in a Facebook contest
