Black shirt and dark grey suit for groomsmen

I think you should let him wear what he wants. If it were me I'd try to do a suit with texture. Herringbone, subtle tweed, or even just wool. Something to break the dark up a little. And I don't mean old man tweed (although I love that too, lol)

Oh following this. My fiancé and groomsmen are wanting to do this too. Their ties are a silvery grey.

I think it’s a classic look. Once the boutonnière is pinned on, it will help lighten up the look. I personally don’t like the color black, but I’ve seen this done and it doesn’t look bad. It just wouldn’t be something I would do.

I really like the dark shirt look for a fall/winter wedding! Plus, if it's what he wants, why not let him have it? It's a small detail in the midst of a great day.
