Hello everyone, What are your opinions on black bridesmaids dresses in the Spring? My wedding colors for now are blush, champagne and ivory. If you are pro black dresses, what are some things you think I can do to make the dresses more appealing to the Spring?

I don't see anything wrong with black dresses in spring. If they are really formal it makes me think of an evening/night wedding. A chiffon material would look more like spring and for warmer weather

Fabric choice is going to be huge. Go with a flowy fabric verse a satin Smiley smile

I was a May bridesmaid and had a black dress with cute teal accessories. I didn't question the look for a second.

I would feel "weird" about this too but after reading the comments I think as long as it's paired with the right accessories, and probably short it could look fab!

My wedding is in March and my BM are wearing black. Lots of greenery and white flowers. I think if you have seasonal flowers, you are fine.

I personally am a bigger fan of pastel/light colors for spring!

I love black and agree with the others. My only suggestion is consider time of day, length and of course region. I was in a wedding with long black dresses w/tulle underneath in an afternoon wedding in August. The biggest problem is an afternoon wedding in August in Texas is horrible esp when taking pictures outside. Otherwise, I think it can be very beautiful and timeless.

My wedding is in April. My girls are wearing short black dresses and will have pink bouquet. I'm a big fan of black dresses all year long Smiley smile

My girls dresses are black and my wedding is in July. At first my mother was appalled at the thought of black dresses, however they have pink flowers, jewelry and shoes so I feel like it's a very classic chic look. Maybe do the same with one of your wedding colors?

My soon to be sister in-law had black dresses for her BMs in June. Black is an elegant color, but I would only have it for an evening wedding.

Colourful accessories and/or a ribbon around their waist or in hair.

Black is a neutral and can be used whenever! I don't think the whole "seasonal colors" thing is a thing anymore anyway.

I always wanted to do black dresses, but was vetoed in the end, haha. I love them, but for spring, I'd aim for a lighter, breezier material, like tulle or chiffon. Lace might be a little heavy, imo. But I'm sure the right dress, with the right accessories would look fantastic!
