Birdcage veil

Sammer84, on February 1, 2013 at 1:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

I have a short dress and plan to get a birdcage veil. Does anyone have experience with these? Does he move it, like flip it up or do you just keep it there? I think I can detach the veil so for the reception I just have the flower.

I wore a purple birdcage veil for my wedding, and it stayed in place pretty well. It covered the top half of my face, so we didn't move it for our kiss. And I removed it for the reception and just kept a flower in my hair.

I’m wearing a birdcage veil for my wedding. I think it goes with the rustic, vintage, country theme. I tried it on when I tried my wedding dress on and it stayed in pretty well. I tried to flip it up to see if it’s something I could pull off for my reception look and …no, haha. it looked funny. I’ll probably use it for the ceremony and some of the pictures, and not use it for the reception and some of the photos.

    Thanks gals!

Lindsay (wedding date twin!)- I like how its two different looks without much hassle. I should probably get it soon so I can try it with a hair trial!

My veil will be two parts the birdcage part attached to a hair comb and a large flower. After the ceremony I plan to take off the veil part and keep the flower in my hair.

I bought a birdcage veil w/side feather clip. I found a bunch of videos on youtube that show how to put them in, but when I do it myslef, it looks ridiculous. Hope my stylist knows what she is doing with them! I plan to take the veil part off for the reception, and it will (hopefully) just barely come across my eyes during the ceremony, so no need to move it.
