Big Ticket Registry Items!

Rachel, on February 17, 2014 at 8:20 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

Hi all! I am starting to get very close to my wedding and I am starting to get all of my registry gifts purchased. Last night someone bought us $500 worth of pots and pans. We were in desperate need of them. Anyways, after those were bought up we didn't have any "big ticket items" left over for those who want to spend a nice chunk of change on. Our guest list includes a lot of very generous people. So other than money we want to give them some options. Any thoughts on some "big ticket items?" What "big ticket items" do you all put on your registry?

I have a KitchenAid and a high thread count duvet and sheet set. You could put a Dyson Vacuum if you need one.

If there isn't anything that immediately comes to mind then don't just add something for the sake of adding it. Those "generous" folks will give you money

I love the espresso makers idea...I am inclined to just leave the registry the way it is cause we would love to start a house fund. I have already gotten a lot of these suggestions. Thank you ladies.

I have a knife set $389, a dyson $399, a toaster oven $189, an awesome trash/recycling can $199 and we have a snow blower from home depot $599 on our list. Since we already own a house we are only upgrading some larger items but also have small things on our list as well. We don't need pots and pans or major kitchen items. Our biggest registry is our honeymoon registry from Sandals.

I put on a $400 pots and pan set (that someone bought, yay!), a nice dinnerware set, and a $700 vacuum that no one will probably buy, but I thought I'd try :-)

I also registered for a $400 pots and pans and it was actually my first gift! We also registered for a dyson, some super expensive chef knives (FH picked them), and a nice bedding set. We'll see if I get all the pillows Smiley smile

The only big ticket item we have is a Ninja. My parents have one. I'm in love. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/ninja-dual-stage-blender-with-cups-0431257p.html#.UwIgzXlhM64

A Vitamix blender, Dyson vacuume, Kitchenaid mixer, 1000 count sheet set, a really nice knife set, or china place settings. Just some high end options that come to mind.

Knife set, really nice vacuum cleaner or carpet shampooer, sheets, nice trash can (we're getting a simple human and I love them).
