Big or Small

P & J, on February 9, 2020 at 9:29 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
I’m 20 days away from my wedding and I can’t help but think of how my “something small” from the beginning of my engagement became this big celebration two years later! I have a wedding party of 20 (including myself & FH) and an RSVP list of 175, but I’m so excited ! Are you all doing something big and elaborate or something small and intimate?

    Girl CELEBRATE!!! That’s awesome!
We’re planning on making a big event out of our wedding but keeping it small. Only 25 in attendance. We have a murder mystery reception planned that I’m so excited about.

Sounds exciting! We each have one person standing up on our side and inviting 100 guests. We are doing an early wedding and plan to celebrate all day/night!

Sounds like so much fun! Our party is 10 in total and 65 in attendance. We really just want to have a party with those we love. It's become a little more elaborate than when we first started planning but that's because our first choice for a venue (more backyard wedding feel) was all booked.

I wanted something smaller like 100 people but then when we did our guest list it was 160 before letting our parents invite people. So it ended up at 250 guests

My plan was for around 85 people until the parents got involved, but luckily they are helping with the costs of the extra guests

We were originally going to have about 150 for both ceremony and reception. We ended up having a huge financial hit and had to cancel the wedding. NOW, to take it a little easy, we'll be having a private ceremony and then a big all inclusive reception at a reception hall not to far from the ceremony site. Can't complain. The event is the most important to us no matter how it's done.
