Best strapless bra?!

Melissa, on September 23, 2011 at 11:29 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

Suggestions for an amazing strapless bra for the big day! One of my biggest pet peeves is having my bra keep slipping down. Need a good one that stays put!!

I got one from Chantelle that I LOVED, but beware, the cups run really small (or the one I got was mismarked). We ended up cutting a bra and sewing it into the dress.

A bustier is the way to go. Strapless bras are only good if you are a A cup. Otherwise you will either have to smash them for it to stay up or deal with the constant hiking of "the girls" (which IMO looks terrible and almost as bad as bra straps hanging out)

Try Intimacy at Tyson's Corner. I have had good experiences bc they will actually fit you in your correct bra size.

I am getting cups sewn into my wedding dress and wearing spanx.

I work for a large lingerie company, and although I should be telling you where to get good strapless bra, the truth is your best bet is to get one sewn into your dress. Its so much easier, looks a lot better (no bumps or seams from the bra showing through your dress), and it will be much more comfortable. If you're dead set on a bra go for Wacoal, LaPerla, Vanity Fair, or Maidenform- they make exceptional bras.

One of the best strapless bras I can recommend can be purchased at Intimacy depending on what state you live in. Their regular bras are expensive, however their strapless bras run between $45-60. Items can not be purchased online only in store.

    Good Luck

The reason I mentioned the Chantelle bra is because, well, they don't usually bother making strapless bras for my cup size, and this one was actually quite supportive...just a little too small in the cup, so size up if you want a strapless instead of a bustier.

BUT - I agree that sewing the support into the dress is the way to go. For me, it also helps avoid that little bulge of back fat, considering that I need a tight band for good support.

I have never had any luck with a strapless bra. I hope I can get one that works when I choose my dress Smiley winking Hope the ladies advice helps. The spanx are a most I think.

I got my strapless for another dress I have and it is amazing. It is a biofit from VS and I'm a good C size cup but it stays up and I have never had to hike it and it has worked with every dress I tried on for the wedding dresses.
