Best place for 8 day 7 night resort

Does it have to be the Caribbean? I feel like Mexico might have more potential activities, while still having the option to just laze by the beach/pool all day.

Do you guys have the option of doing a cruise with the voucher? That could be a good combo of doing nothing and sight seeing at port stops. We did a cruise for our honeymoon and loved it.

Yeah if I were to choose between Bahamas or Aruba for 8 days I would prefer Bahamas plus more beautiful places apart from the beach to get married on. I hope you have so much fun .

I don’t feel like Aruba has enough to do for 8 days if you don’t want to laze around. I can’t think of a Caribbean island that would.
However, if you scuba, rent a 4x4, etc you might be able to fill up a few days in Aruba and/or add Bonaire and Curaçao.

I will choose Aruba hands down! It is a small island but the beaches are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! that blue water and white sand are definitely a YES for a honeymoon.. they have a lot of casinos and all water activities you can imagine.. I’ve been in Aruba so many times and no regrets. Plus sound likes your FH wants a more calm honeymoon.. besides Aruba I will pick Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) fun place!

DR and Jamaica both have tons of things to do from exploring and exursions to relaxing and taking in the scenery

Yeah he does want a relaxed honeymoon but I am a mover and 8 days of just chilling on the beach (we live in Tampa Bay and we never go to the beaches here lol) worries me that it will be boring. Maybe 5 days I can see but 8 days of just laying out I feel would be a bit boring but I would not mind checking out Aruba. DR is getting dangerous now so I am going to avoid there for a bit.

I love DR but it is getting a bit dangerous even in the tourist areas so I am going to hold off there for awhile. Jamaica is an option. My FH though wants as minimal flights as possible. He is not an easy traveler lol.

We are also looking into Caribbean resorts. St. Lucia seems beautiful - if you go through Sandals they have three resorts, so you can stay at one and “play” at all the others. Aruba I hear is beautiful. My sister did a resort in Jamaica where they did beach time and adventuring, and she loved it, however FH hated Jamaica lol. I think it depends on what activities you want to do. We will be going through a travel agent, since we want both beach time and mild excursions, and will likely choose based on those options.

I wanted St. Lucia but my gosh from Florida it would be like two stops and expensive. I would splurge on the Jade Mountain resort. FH wants the least amount of stops possible. Even though FL is near the Caribbean some places are not easy for affordable to get to. Mexico is cheaper than Jamaica lol. His top 3 in order are Bahamas, Aruba and Turks & Caicos. He's giving me an elopement ceremony and pics so I am giving him the honeymoon lol.

Oh for real. That is why DR is out and we will be looking into all of that. I am hoping closer to Jamaica will have affordable flights as we have not been to either. If I see a good flight option for St. Lucia I hope he will want to go. Hope we find a happy medium because we need to do some movement. Good luck finding your perfect honeymoon.

Antigua Sandals right on Dickinson Bay.

I went to Aruba a few years ago for 5 days, and I did not think it was enough time. We only went to the beach 2 days during that time. There are several historic sites around the island, sunset cruises, snorkeling/scuba diving, a natural park with some beautiful hiking, off-roading to some natural pools, etc. We weren't able to do half those things in the time we were there, and we didn't even spend any time in the capital city aside from going to and from the airport (we were in the northern part of the island). I could definitely see being able to find 8 days worth of activities.
