For me, since my wedding hasn't occured yet, my fiance and I both agree that our favorite memory so far is the food tasting at our venue! We are doing a semi-destination wedding in our state, and traveled to the area for a weekend earlier this year. We took the opportunity to have a date night during winter, and we got to taste different entrees, appetizers, and beverages. We had a beautiful view of the water from our table, and it ended up being a fantastic weekend for us to spend together at our venue. Here is a picture from the view that we had.

I don't really know what my favorite part would be exactly, but the best feelings (other than just being married, finally) were from things that seemed like they were going wrong, but then ended up being okay.

Other than those: The sweetest part of planning was when we finished writing our vows together. We had been working on them together-ish for months, but about 3 days before the ceremony we actually had to type them so we could send them to our officiant because we wanted to repeat them after him. So, we went through all of everything that each of us had either written or found online, picked some themes and put them together in a way sounded good and was perfect for us.

The funniest thing I remember from the day of the miniwedding, was when we were walking around the house (the "aisle" was like 5 feet long and I wanted to walk farther than that, so we made a loop around the house) and our photographer met us on the other side to take some pictures while we were still away from everyone else. At some point she told husband to get really close to my whisper the name of a vegetable in his sexiest voice. He whispered, "shrimp tempura."

That makes sense on why you wanted DIY bouquets! And it's nice that you can keep them as a memory from your wedding day. I'm sure they will stay in good shape and you can use them again next year!

Oh wow, that's odd that the vendors confused you with your MOH at the bridal shows, especially with the shirts you both had! I went to two bridal shows, and they were so crowded that it was tough to even talk to a vendor, so I stopped going to them lol. We ended up finding our vendors through internet research instead.

That's a really cool favorite memory! I imagine that picking up the marriage license makes everything suddenly feel super real and more exciting, since having the marriage license means the day has almost arrived. Thank you for sharing!

Writing vows together is such a sweet idea! I can imagine that the process of writing them would make for some great memories.

And that funny memory is hilarious! Did you hear the photographer tell your husband what to whisper, so you knew he was going to say something? Or from your perspective, did he seemingly randomly whisper to you? I bet she was able to capture some really good pictures with true happiness/laughter from that!

It was a really nice experience and I would highly recommend considering writing your vows the way we did to anyone.

I heard her instructions to him, so I knew he was going to whisper something, but I was expecting to hear the name of a vegetable, so I'm sure I laughed harder than she was expecting. I'm really looking forward to seeing those photos in a few weeks.

We started writing our own vows, but then postponed our wedding to 2022, so we didn't get very far on the vows. I haven't yet read what he had written though. Thanks for sharing your experience with writing vows!

That's so funny about the pictures and what he whispered! Hopefully you get your pictures back soon!
