Best long- lasting lipstick

Mrs J, on February 21, 2018 at 11:09 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 34
Hey all you makeup knowledgeable, lovely brides-to-be! Can you help this makeup newbie out by providing some brand recommendations for best lipsticks that don't transfer to your SO when you kiss? I don't really like the matte look on myself, but prefer some sparkle or something more dynamic. Purchased LipSense (wasted money on it is more like it), and hate it. Any other recommendations? Your input is very much appreciated!

All the ones I would recommend that are 100% transfer proof are matte liquid lipsticks, unfortunately.

Not cheap, but Chanel Rouge Double Intensite is really good, and one end is a gloss, so it's not dry and matte.

Hourglass liquid lipstick is my personal go to. It's long lasting and doesn't transfer once it dries.

I'm not sure what happened with you and the lipsense. It exfoliates your lips and so the lipsense takes about a week of daily use to achieve the best results. You can't use any lip products that contain wax because the lipsense tries to remove it. With the gloss and balm they sell it's easy to keep the lipsense results best by only using nonwax products.

Idk if this helps you if u want to take another shot at it. If you purchases it through a representative who sells the products, you can return all of the products for a full refund.

Btw I'm not a person who sells lipsense. It's what i plan house for the wedding and it has done wonders for me. I just wanted to make sure you knew it takes one to two weeks of everyday use before the lipsense looks its vest.

Agree! I don't sell it either but I work in sports and use it constantly without having to worry about reapplying even during 14 hour days. FH always asks before he kisses me goodbye if I'm wearing "the good stuff" because he HATES lipstick transfer lol.

But I have heard of a good one from Covergirl but cant remember the name

I love my cover girl outlast lipstick. You can buy it anywhere. Apply the color, let it dry about a minute, and then apply the top coat. If your lips feel dry during the day, reapply the top coat. I also apply the top coat before eating greasy foods.

Once it's sealed, the color doesn't transfer. I put my lipstick on in the morning and even by bed time my FH still isn't wearing it.

As a cool toned blonde, my go to colors are Rose Pearl (#547) it's a sparkly pink, or Ever Red-y (#507). When my hair is red or I'm a brunette, I use Canyon (#626)

Stila used to have a couple liquid lipsticks with some shimmer in it that were transfer proof, I haven't bought anything from them in a while so I'm not sure if they still do. Kat Von D came out with a liquid lipstick line called Glimmer Veil that is a really shimmery liquid lipstick, I never tried it because I'm very much a matte kind of person but I think its supposed to be transfer proof like her normal liquid lipsticks.

I just bought some lipsense to try out and so far I’m loving it! I don’t sell it. The matte lipsticks last a long time from wet n wild but usually close to the end of the night my lips look so dry/cracked/patchy.

I use maybelline super stay 24hr color. It doesn't last 24 hr or make it through eating but it doesn't come off with a kiss or other timmess thoughout the day. I put it on in the morning and then after I eat and I'm good

I don't generally wear lipstick (or much makeup) but my HMUA used a Burberry lipstick for my trial and on wedding day and it was great and stayed in place all day! not sure about cost though.

I just started trying lipsense. It lasts as good as people say. It's a little drying, but I just add more gloss.

I'm sorry I just saw that you don't like lipsense, I did enjoy the wet n wild liquid catsuit. It might need reapplied once throughout the wedding, but it dried my lips out. I have naturally dry lips anyhowso this just accentuated it but it definitely lasts a long time.

I have a few of these and while the color is great, they are definitely not long-lasting.

I agree and was going to suggest LipSense myself! It works wonders for me and stays on for hours at a time. I basically have to scrub it off. I say give your LipSense another try!

Not a seller btw just a very satisfied customer
