Best locations for beach honeymoon

Jordyn, on November 9, 2021 at 3:09 PM Posted in Honeymoon 3 7

What are some of the best cities or specific resorts for a beach honeymoon? We don't mind traveling internationally. If it helps for options geared toward age groups, we're in our early 30s. Thanks!

I love Cancun, they are treating Covid very well and have reduced capacity which makes the resort more enjoyable. For our honeymoon we went to Fiesta Americana and it was amazing but this was a family resort. The beach was one of the best in Cancun we were told and it was beautiful. The service is absolutely amazing! We also visited Xcaret which is my fave resort it also is family but gives you access to a bunch of adventure parks with transportation included, their food is divine and the service was top notch this by far is my favorite resort that I have stayed in. Lastly we went to TRS Yucatan this year and this is an adult only resort that is part of a complex of I think 4 resorts. You can eat and play at any of the resorts. The food was so great and the service was even greater. They had night performances and out door clubs it was so much fun. My hubby and I are in our early 30s and we enjoyed every single one of these.

I have visited Costa Rica twice and love it, Hawaii is also great and surprisingly affordable since most people might think of it as this exclusive destination where you need to spend a lot to visit (which it can be).

Costa Rica has all kinds of scenery (beach, rainforest, mountains), so you'll have no problem doing something adventurous one day and lounging on the beach for another. Plus it's affordable and if you live in the US, flights are quite reasonable (JFK to San Jose is as low as $250 RT in February), keep in mind their dry season is from Dec- April). Depending on how long you stay and where you fly out of, plus the level of luxury you are budgeting for, I'd say an average budget for a week stay would be less than $3000.

Hawaii is nice because if you airbnb or vrbo it and divert funds to activities. We did a big family and friends trip for a week and my sister's fam and I split the cost of an airbnb that sleeps 6 adults, 3 kids, and we spent $1800 for all of us split between 3 families on the big island and it was beachfront. Overall, my share with my fiancee (then bf) was under $2500 and we went snorkeling, ate out at high end restaurants twice, as well as rented a car and a few other small activities & shopping!

Australia is our #1 choice and would be a dream honeymoon. Fingers crossed it opens up to US citizens next November, but if not we're 1000% willing to wait till fall 2023!

My FH and I can't decide between an excursion to Sydney, Sunshine Coast, and Hamilton Island or Perth, Rottnest Island, and Cape Range National Park. It's all so beautiful it's almost impossible to choose!

Wow you certainly have picked out some amazing spots to go and I am not sure which ones would be better to go to. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Sydney is a big city, Sunshine Coast is okay, have you thought about the Gold Coast instead? At the Gold Coast are the theme parks and lots of amazing hotels and restaurants and lots of things to do. Probably more than the Sunshine Coast. Hamilton Island is great! It's a tropical island in the middle of the Whitsunday group of islands and there are things to do on the island and day trips you can take from the island. You can drive around the island in gold carts as well Smiley smile. Perth is a beautiful city and Rottnest is a great little island as well. If you are looking for a more relaxed pace and not much to do then I would probably suggest going to that side of Australia but if you're looking for things to do and stuff like that then I would come to the East Coast. It's beautiful whichever way you go though Smiley smile I've been to most of these places and would recommend them Smiley smile
