Oneida for silverware. Williams-Sonoma Pantry Dinnerware is really nice and pieces can be easily replaced if damaged or the set increased in size at anytime.

We have Noritake Colorwave plates and bowls and love them. They're plain enough to be everyday dishes, but they sell accent pieces and are nice enough to be used for fancy occasions.

    We also have Oneida silverware.

ETA: my parents have Fiestaware and love it, so that's a solid recommendation too. It just doesn't match the vibe of our home.
