Best Bridesmaid Gifts

We're getting married in Vegas, so we are going to include slot machine vouchers or table chips, personalized cups or flasks, Vegas shot glasses and thank you notes.

Honestly I havent used much of anything I've received in a bridesmaid gift except the earrings we were supposed to wear that day and a nail polish.

General feedback i've heard from others is that insulated mugs are always good. Brumate is an excellent brand and is really trendy right now. Little makeup bags with travel size items like toothpaste, mouth wash, bandaids and stuff are also popular and is something that people can keep in a travel bag even if they dont use it right away. I honestly have to say that totes, robes, and slippers/flip flops are my least favorite thing to received. I never ever use them after that day and they sit in my closet for a few months until I decide its been long enough without use I can just throw them away. Also, anything that is specifically printed to say "bridesmaid" pretty much gets unused after that day.

I had one friend in particular who probably spent $400 on everyones bridesmaid gift and I used the $70 flip flops to clean around the house until they fell apart and kept the luggage tag and that was it.

For my sister’s wedding, she got us each a personalized necklace with our names and birth flower. It’s so cute and I think everyone loved them! ☺️ I’m not a big jewelry person but would wear it more if I was. I have attached a link to the shop I’m pretty sure she used.

I got lotion and makeup bags for my girls. I got to personalize them to their tastes and they could be used again. That’s something I’d be happy with.
I’ve be a bridesmaid 3 times and have never gotten a super great thank-you gift. Typically baskets of lotion, face masks, nail polish etc.

Oh, I got them a couple of other little things. A bridesmaid frame and shirt. Just cause they were cute. A wrap because the wedding was in January. I filled the make up bag with hair ties, chapstick, and i think something else. I put everything in a tote. But I count the makeup bag as the main gift since everything else was small/wedding ish related.

The general guideline is to shop like it’s their birthday based on hobbies and interests with no names/titles/date and nothing to be worn the day of.



As a bridesmaid, I have tossed out the too short robes, the earrings, frames, lotions, etc. The only things I have kept was when a close friend got everyone a tote and tshirt based on their nerd fandom interest. They were in the same ballpark price range on Etsy or at a local craft fair and unique to each person without names being added and nothing intended to be worn or used at the wedding.

When my sister got married she gave all of us footie pajamas of our favorite animals. So we had a horse, penguin, tiger (me), unicorn, elephant…. It made for some GREAT getting ready photos with us all in kid-likr pajamas and coffee

I received a necklace to wear at the ceremony that I wore once afterwards. I agree with Michelle that you should tailor gifts to the person instead of broadly giving the same thing they might not use.
