Best Brands and Type of Hair for Weave

Future Mrs., on May 31, 2013 at 4:38 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

Please...help. Need to know of the best brands/type of weave to buy. Going to do a full sew-in.

Also, wondering if anyone knows of any good websites to order from? I'm going to look at my local beauty supply stores as well. Thank you kindly! :-)

Hi Future Mrs ! I actually JUST ordered my hair for my wedding last week and it arrived yesterday (it took exactly one week for me to get it) I ordered it from a hair stylist in Atlanta, GA by the name of Jasmine Nikol. She has a pretty wide range of hair to choose from and her prices are by far the cheapest I've seen. She has a youtube channel where she displays her products as well as her work on her clients. Her website is www.jasminenikol.com and her youtube channel is www.youtube.com/user/jasminenikolbeauty. I'm VERY pleased with the hair I purchased from her. Hope this helps Smiley smile

Hi Future Mrs. I am a weave addict LOL I normally order my virgin indian hair from celebutonhair.com or uniquehairexperience.com both are based in Baltimore but ship anywhere. I normally wouldn't use store brought hair for a sew in but if you really must Indiremi is a nice brand to use once.

The best hair is at extensionsplus.com or even IHI.com the type depends on look and texture but make sure it is virgin and human.

I second what Samantha Renee said. Talk to the salon that is going to do your weave and get their recommendation or see if they provide the hair.

I don't do weaves often, I've had two sew ins my entire life.....until I learned how to do clip ins but off the shelf, I love Outré Remy hair. Good luck!

Best hair at a great price, go to www.SameGirlDifferentHair.com, and I can vouch for the quality of the product. REALLY great product and customer service. I know the owner personally. She is super nice, down to earth and treat her customers like her friends.

Ohhh so many sites to check out. Woo hoo! Y'all are awesome!

Unfortunately, the lady I'm going to doesn't have hair in the shop, but I forgive her because she does an awesome job..though it'd be sooo much easier if she had it there lol!

She did give me recommendations, but I like to ask around!

I have tried different brands in the past but the key to any good quality hair is taking care of it. I currently have malysian kinky hair and i do not know how to care for it so it is not lasting as long as I would hope. :-(

If you plan on keeping the hair for a while treat the hair gently and do not put harsh products in the hair. Good weave do not require a whole lot of products (oil sheen and hair spray).

Do you know the look you want? I recommend to purchase cheaper quality hair to play with before you purchase the more expensive hair.

Hey @dpierce! I want the over the shoulder look with all my hair to the side or I'm also going to try a side bun.

I do like the idea of trying the cheaper quality hair.

I've attached pics. I'm thinking of asking about the clip ins as well for a hair trial, but then I was thinking I really need to see how this person does her sew-ins.

My hair is only maybe a couple of inches past my neck. I could very easily just do a hair piece for a side bun, but then I'm still undecided about the hairstyle, so I figured I'd just get weave and could try every style I can think of lol!

I'm wearing my hair to the side as well possible up for the ceremony then let down for the reception.

the key to a good weave is the foundation(braids) and the hair. it depends on the person what kind of hair to get. I prefer virgin Indian curly to wear curled or in its natural state and I normally get it dyed. Right now I have in virgin Brazilian hair..its ok but not a good as indian.

Watch list. My hair is natural and the thought of what it would look like after 30 mins of dancing is just...

I'm getting a sew in for the wedding. I'll probably only keep it in for 2 weeks because I start to miss my hair.

Great post. What ever hair you get make sure it blends well with your natural hair. I purchased some hair recently and the quality, texture and length along with the color was very fitting for my head. Take a look at this site www.indiquehair.com

    Love YouTube!

Okay so how close to the wedding are you all planning to get your sew-ins?

And what do you use to moisturize your real hair under the weave? I've seen so many products!
