Our venue allows us to bring in our alcohol, but we keep going back and forth between Beer and Wine only vs. Full Bar. The future in-laws want us to limit the alcohol present at the wedding (they are super conservative, super religious, and pretty much the exact opposite of my FH, my family and myself). We have actually yet to tell them we are not having a religious ceremony (I don't know how this is going to go over). I have been to weddings with both full open bar and beer and wine only. When I went to my family for advice they were lacking and basically said it is your wedding do what you want (keep in mind our families are paying for our entire wedding).

No problem. My side of the family is also conservative. I am playing on that by having the dj announce in some silly way over the mic for them to excuse themselves so we can party. I'm thinking of a line from Martin, "you dont have to go home, but you have to get out of here" but it will be much nicer than that.
