Beer and wine at an earlier wedding?

It’s just not in our budget to do dinner or lunch so we are having a 2pm ceremony with it probably being over around 5-530 (really just when people leave). We are serving light appetizers though. So my question is, would you drink beer or wine at a wedding where the reception is at 3?

Yo take advantage. Its something and honestly that's probably what a venue would serve and charge a lot

Yes, i would view it as an afternoon party and if alcohol was provided i would definitely have 1-2 drinks

It depends on your crowd. Is alcohol typically served at parties around lunch time? In our friend group & my family, alcohol is always served regardless of time. So if we had an earlier wedding, we'd probably offer beer & cider - not sure about wine - and maybe some other drink.

Good point. My side, could do without. His side, beer and wine is acceptable to drink whenever you please. Our friends vary too.
