Beer and wine at an earlier wedding?

Dacia, on January 25, 2020 at 7:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 24
It’s just not in our budget to do dinner or lunch so we are having a 2pm ceremony with it probably being over around 5-530 (really just when people leave). We are serving light appetizers though. So my question is, would you drink beer or wine at a wedding where the reception is at 3?

I don't think it would be needed, but if you budget allows it I think it would be a nice option. Smiley smile

It’s something we want, I just hate spending money if no one would drink it. Ya know?
    Thank you Smiley smile

I think most people would have a drink in the afternoon. Smiley smile

I would go to total wine and get beer and wine. My FH does not like wine and I do not like beer. Maybe get a good deal on some brands.

I would drink wine about any time of day. Just make sure your beverage selection matches your food. You don’t want to not have enough food to soak up the alcohol people are drinking, and alcohol will generally make people eat more.

Our reception is at 2pm. We are doing wine and mimosas (water and juice for kids too). All of the food is being made by family so light but a lot of options. We planned for 3 drinks per person since its early in the day. Reception over by 4:30-5p.

The closest one is over three hours away sadly. We don’t have any meat beer or wine places in Oklahoma

That’s a great idea! Yours sound similar to ours. Maybe my family will help out with some light food options.

But you can probably just go to local grocery store correct? Our grocery store here usually has good deals on to some beer and wine. Does that be anything fancy of course

Yeah! We’ve been pricing grocery stores. Target has sales a lot on beer and wine.
