Bed Bath & Beyond Registry Vent

We went to create our registry at Bed Bath and Beyond today and had a somewhat terrible experience. The lady followed us around and gave us no time to browse for some items we would want. She held the scanner the entire time which was frustrating since FH and I heard how much fun it was to go around and scan all the items. When we would pick cheaper items (like silverware) she would tell us how horrible the $80 set was and insist we add the $199 set. Was anyone else's experience like this? This was the first place we went so I am not sure if I just had unrealistic expectations for how it would go.

I hated registering at BBB for this exact reason, but we liked their sheets and towels. Ultimately, we created our registry online, went in to look at stuff without telling anyone and then added it ourselves online when we got home. The website also sucks though and tried to convince you to add more stuff. We mostly registered on Amazon and LOVED it.

So sorry. We registered at BB&B and we were completely left on our own. They offered to come with us, but we said we were fine and that was it. We had a lot of fun. We also registered at Crate and Barrel and were also left alone. Good luck.

I had a very similar experience! However for me she told me she wasn’t able to add some stuff through the scanner so she would manually have to do it. I checked our registry later and it had never been added. I had to try and remember everything and add it myself. We did an amazon registry as well but it is so much easier to go to a store to register cause everything is laid out rather than having to search for it. We are going to do three total registry’s.

We had a similar experience, until I told the lady we did not need her to baby sit us. She got the hint and left us alone. Your experience sucks, I am sorry Smiley sad .

We went and I was disappointed too. We didn't get any of the free stuff we were supposed to get for doing it in person, and the woman was annoying. I would have rather gone by ourselves to see things in person and then do everything online. I was so overwhelmed, and confused by her that we ended up circling around and having to go back to things because she was so set on going aisle by aisle. It took FOREVER, and I was so exhausted by the end. You're not alone.

OMG this happened to us too. Things we wanted that were discontinued. Most of our guests are from out of state, and I know NOBODY is going to go in person to buy us a gift

Oh no that's horrible! I was in my local BBAB the other day and saw a couple registering. They were operating the scanner without any store assistance! I truly hope this is how my local store does it or we will have to find a new place to register because I refuse to be bullied during one of the fun aspects of planning!
