Thinking of creating a registry at Bed Bath and Beyond. Wondering if there is any benefit to going to the store and registering there vs creating a registry solely online. We've already taken time to walk through the store to get an idea of products we like. Is there any benefit to going back to register there vs online with the list we created in our heads? Thanks in advance!!

I'm not a huge online shopper to begin with, so it just made me feel better going in store to register for my stuff. A store associate walked around with me, explained everything to me, helped me pick my items, he was AMAZING. You could always go in store and just update/add things as time passes online.

ETA: I just read a PP's comment about staff pushy. I did not have that problem, so I guess it would just be a hit or a miss. (Although I should mention, the associate that was helping me was also engaged and had just moved in with his fiancé so I guess that made him even more helpful and knowledgeable on certain things)

We registered there and found that going to the store made it easier, at least to initially set up the registry. We had a helpful associate to guide us and we got to look at the products in person. It was especially useful when it came to silverware, it was just easier to be able to hold it! After that, you can always add or delete stuff online if you want. Good luck and have fun!

FH and I did our B-squared registry this past Friday. I recommend going in and making an appointment. Not only will you get the royal treatment because you're potentially bringing a lot of revenue into the store, as at least one PP has said, it helps to have an outside opinion on how to pick out certain items that one may never before have purchased. Ours was flatware and dinnerware. I'd scan whatever strikes your fancy in store, then go back and edit the registry online soon before anyone realizes you registered for glassware that costs $80/piece.*

*May or may not have happened to us

They gave us a free set of mugs and helped us figure out how many of each thing we should register for, like towels

We started ours in store but I edited/added things online. I hated having someone go around with us and honestly added some stuff I had every intention of deleting the second I got home because I felt pressured to (we were already registered for stuff at other stores, but they kept trying to push stuff even though we weren't interested). However, if you're adding stuff online make sure if stuff that is available in stores (some of ours wasn't) because you can't use their coupons online so most people will want to buy things in store with a coupon

We started ours in store with a consultant--I highly recommend this! She was extremely helpful.

I did it online and the plus is they have every product possible from the company... the negative was that other than consumer reviews it was hard to gauge the quality of products and how large or small etc
