Beach Wedding Ceremony

Kortney, on February 24, 2023 at 4:09 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 2

This September, I'll be marrying the love of my life. The wedding ceremony will be on the beach, and there will be a lunch reception to follow afterwards. I've made calls and reservations. There will be about 40 people total who will attend both the ceremony and reception. Any advice, tips, ideas?

Beach bride here as well - May ... like 10 more weeks. ACK!! Ok, back to you LOL Make sure you are very clear to your guests that the ceremony is ON. THE. BEACH.... and to wear appropriate foot gear. I would opt for no veil - sea breezes will just blow it all over the place. Our (dinner) reception is on the covered deck of the restaurant that is on the beach, so I had to abide by the island rules as far as table decor, noise level (music) and lighting (turtle nesting season) I am also keeping our ceremony "short and sweet" to avoid making our guests to hot or uncomfortable in the sun. Good luck and happy planning.

My wedding is the August on the beach and I will be hosting about 200 people! So short and sweet is my goal. No bridal party, we will with our 2 small children, then have a tent reception. My advice is to check the rules of the beach also, not just the venue. Some places wont allow decor directly on the beach, so outside of our arbor Im not sure I want to have anything. I would budget for small hand fans to have in your guests seats before they arrive (or umbrellas) that will minimize the sun/heat and double as a wedding favor. Congrats ladies!
