Beach Wedding Attire Description?

So before trying describe it there, think about what you think of people wearing. I’m having an outdoor wedding near a lake and woods, reception is outdoors as well. My FH is not wearing a tux or even a full suit, so we’re not going formal. I pictured people coming more or less in church dress. For my website I said dressy-casual and to avoid pointy heels.

If your guests are going to literally be walking on sand for the ceremony, appropriate footwear is the most important thing. I would be really clear about that point so everyone understands, and then just put a picture of your reception venue so they can see the level of formality that would suit.

Hi Natalie! I'd go with "Cocktail Attire"! That way everyone will still be dressy for the wedding, but also comfortable enough for the beach.

I also think that if you're clear about the beach ceremony and ballroom reception to follow that your guests will get a good idea!

We're getting married on the beach in So Cal and I put semi formal. Girls wear sundresses maxi dresses etc , while guys wear collar shirts, khaki pants and such.
