Beach ceremony flooring

Hey brides!!! We are looking into having our ceremony on the beach but we aren’t in love with the idea of people in the sand. We were given the idea of putting a flooring down on the sand so people are not in the sand and on a hard surface. Has anyone done this or have any tips!?

I don't really think there's a way to avoid the sand if you're getting married on a beach, regardless of any "flooring" you might attempt to put down. Sand has a tendency to get everywhere. Might I recommend getting married near the beach? Perhaps a patio with an ocean view?

The pp raises a good point, it is going to be very difficult to avoid the sand, even with some type of covering. Did the person who gave you the idea have any suggestions?
Would you consider getting married near the beach, in a venue with an ocean view?
