Beach bonfire reception

Ariel, on May 26, 2017 at 5:26 PM Posted in Planning 1 11

I'm having the HARDEST time finding a venue that we can have a beach bonfire in pensacola/Destin area. I feel like renting a private beach house might be better. Does anyone have any suggestions on companies to help out with this process? This is the most overwhelming part so far I feel like. I know it's very hard to have a bonfire in FL but I'm staying hopeful!

Look up Key Largo Light House. I really wanted my wedding there but we ultimately decided to stay in Atlanta where we live. I believe they would allow that. They're a bit pricey depending your budget but well worth it .

Nvm. Please ignore my last post. I just got excited to share them with you but just now realized you wanted Destin and they are way too far apart. Sorry!!

There are companies that do beach bonfires in Walton County which is the 30A area. It's the neighboring county to Okaloosa which is where Destin is located. There is also a specific beach house in Destin that is rented for weddings. It's called Palazzo Del Sol.

Sea turtle nesting and hatching season is May 1 - Oct. 31 along Florida's Gulf Coast. That means no lights on the beach after dark because it disorients the turtles. That is the reason you're not being allowed to have a beach bonfire.

Check local regulations. Private beach doesn't mean bonfires art allowed.

Nancy is correct. I really wanted to do a beach bon fire for my welcome reception but cannot due to nesting. I wasn't open to changing my date for a beach party so I'm looking for alternatives.
