Any ideas for keeping a BBQ wedding menu classy and not too "picnic-y?" Appetizer, entree, and dessert options welcome!

We had chicken and tri tip with mashed potatos, salad, green beans with almonds, and rolls. It was so good and didn’t feel too picnicy at all!

I’m getting married in June and we are having a walleye fish fry and with that is cold salads , baked beans and cheesy hash browns , and a California blend so we also decided to go with bbq pulled pork for those who don’t eat fish Smiley smile

BBQ WEDDINGS ARE ALL ABOUT THE FOOD. USE A DARK TABLE CLOTH, MAKE SURE YOUR SERVERS KEEP THE BUFFET TABLE CLEAN, STOCKED AND HAVE MUCH MORE FOOD THAN OTHER VENUES. YOUR GUEST BECOME SUDDENLY VERY HUNGRY, ALL DIETS GO OUT THE WINDOW! WE DO A SMOKED MAC/CHEESE THAT IS HEAPED ON PLATES. THE GUESTS DO THAT THEMSELVES!

    SMOKED MAC/CHEESE

    PULLED PORK

    1/4 CHICKENS

    HOMEMADE COLE SLAW

COWBOY BEANS ALL MADE THAT DAY FRESH HOT, AND BEST FOOD YOU WILL EVER GET AT A WEDDING.

Im doing BBQ! Doing a simple rustic theme.

Our hall is at a popular theater in town, has huge hall attached and very nice!

Dinner is a local BBQ. Half chicken, pulled pork, mac n cheese, baked beans, corn bread.. Apps are smoked wings and cheese/cracker trays. They are doing buffet styles but also have servers/ bussers to clear plates.

My colors are navy and dusty rose so my table cloths navy, napkins pink, centerpieces wood logs with mason jars with pink roses and babys breathe! Im so excited.

Ask your caterer to eliminate anything that is required to be eaten with your fingers. Make sure that your vegetarian/vegan guests can eat more than just the rolls.
