Bathroom

Long story short:

We are getting married at a beautiful barn owned by a family friend. There are no restrooms. I hate the idea of porta potties, and I think my guests will too. I have looked into the portable trailers and they are way out of budget and also require water and a generator which could be complicated.

I think I have found a solution. They are "technically" porta potties but I kinda love them. Question, how would you react if these were the restrooms at a wedding you attended?

I have used a portapotty once in my life time and I swore to myself that I'd never do it again.
My best friend also accidentally stepped in a pool of "liquid" leaking from a portapotty when we were kids so I know that accidents happen with those.
Sorry but I'll hold it in until I can get to am actusl bathroom lol

I’m not a fan of portapotties but I’ll use them if needed. I actually think those options are a lot nicer than the standard portapotties. I think they’ll be okay!

I went to a wedding at a barn last month and they had the fancy trailer portable bathrooms. They were air conditioned and very clean. I didn’t have a problem with them at all!

I would love to have that as well but they are out of budget to get to our area.

How do these ones not use water if they have sinks?

The sinks are operated by a foot pedal and water tank

I don't like porta potties as I find them gross, humid and hard to get yourself clean in. These are a lot nicer than the typical porta potties so I think they will be fine. I like opt 3 the best but opt 1 is good too. Personally I find opt 2 to be a bit tacky with the Saloon sign and door however that may just be me. As a guest I'd be afraid to use opt 2 as I'd worry it would allow me to be exposed. If I attended a wedding with these I'd think thank goodness they are more like a bathroom than a typical porta potty. I'd think the couple took their guests comfort into consideration. It's a neat idea and I've never seen anything like these.

I had the same though about exposure but It's actually a regular door that is painted to look like saloon doors!

If it was me I would hold it until I got home or elsewhere that had a bathroom. I hate porta potties and out houses because they are gross, foul smelling, and for me seem unsanitary.

Port-a-potties in August? Nope. They stink and bugs love them.

I think for the fact you don't have restrooms these are a great alternative. I'd prefer an actual restroom too, but if I gotta go.. I'm gonna go where I need to.

My only concern would be for you wearing your dress. If you're in a ball gown or poofy style I would look into thoae bag things you strep into to hold your dress up while you go!

If I’m being honest.. as a guest at a wedding I would be completely disgusted if I saw these at a wedding .. and as a bride I dont think I would want to use a porta party at my wedding .. it’s hard enough to use a regular bathroom on a wedding gown

Honestly, I have a hard time even stopping foot into porta potties no matter how they look. I would use it if I absolutely had to but I would be grossed out, and would probably avoid drinking too much to minimize trips back. There will always be people that will be grossed out while others don't mind, you will need to decide what works best in your situation.

Can you just have the ceremony at your friend’s barn and then the reception elsewhere where there are regular bathrooms? You will still need to rent at least 1 of these portables for the ceremony (if more than 40 guests, probably 2).

I think as long as they are extremely clean, and odor free, they will be perfect for a barn wedding. It sorry of fits the barn atmosphere! I went to an extremely elegant outdoor wedding and they had this type if restroom setup. I was hesitant at first, then nature won so I ventured inside. I was pleasantly surprised with what I found!
Most of us picture our unpleasant experience with porta potties! But this type us FAR from the nasty ones you have at fairs, concerts, races, etc. These are very, very nice!!
Your guests will be pleasantly surprised!!!

I have looked into those. What a genius invention but my dress is not poofy so I shouldn't need one.
