I recently spotted a blog on makeup, and someone mentioned Bare minerals. I have never purchased, but is curious to see if that makeup will be good for my weddin since I have oily skin and tend to shine. I use a variety of makeup, everything from Covergirl-queen collection to MAC and sometimes very cheap knock-offs products. What is the take on Bare minerals, and do they have a shade that will fit me?

@Nicole M - yes, you are correct. The ingredients used to create a product's SPF protection are designed to reflect light thereby keeping one from bruning. These ingredients have been known to cause a camera's flash to reflect the light back turning the wearer's face white or ashy.

If you take a look at some snapshots from you or friends' photos, you may notice faces looking white than the rest of the body, especially the under eye area where concealer is often used. This is caused by the "flash back".

This is not true. I've worn bare minerals in professional photos and it turns out great
