Bare Minerals vs. Air Brush Make-up

Jessica, on July 27, 2011 at 11:15 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

I use Bare Minerals every day, never tried air brush before. I've heard air brush is amazing and doesn't wear off in sweat or tears. I, like every bride, wants to look flawless in the face for my wedding and I'm not sure which one to use. Advise please!!

Airbrush gives better coverage. I would suggest that for the wedding as bare minerals is more of an everyday type of coverage.

I am wearing bare minerals matte. It gives a flawless finish when applied properly, and it lacks the light reflecting minerals of the original. I wear it because I have very sensitive skin and I am afraid that using anything else will make me break out and get really red.

I love love my airbrush makeup... here is a link to a youtube video for bridal makeup you might like... this artist uses the foundation of a popular airbrush system called Dinair without the use of the actual airbrush system... she gives a lot of information that could be helpful to some brides... I currently own, and use the temptu airbrush system as a FL MUA.

From a photography standpoint, airbrushed makeup is the way to go. It doesn't rub off on mom's cheek when she gives you a hug. It stays off hubby's lapel during some of the photo taking. And the multiple hugs & kisses you'll receive before and after the ceremony won't remove your airbrushed makeup....great for photos. It does make a big difference.

When comparing those two things it's like comparing a mansion to a townhouse. I have worn BM for the past 6 years and swear by it. My MUA used MAC wish I could of afford Airbrush at the time. The MAC never wore of through the sweat and tears and I only use is for very special occasions now... Smiley winking

I have very sensitive skin. To where I have to wash new clothes before wearing them. It's horrible and kind-of keeps me down Smiley sad Unless you are allergic to airbrush, IMHO I say go that route, you won't regret it! and you'll love your pictures just that much more. I know I love mine because I opted out of BM for the wedding!

Thanks Ladies. Since I know what I look like with BM make up on I think I'm going to set up an appt so I can see what it looks like with air brushed on.
