FAMIL suggested a taco bar for our wedding. We're planning on having a catered buffet, but thought we could do some kind of bar during the cocktail hour or as a dessert. Thoughts?

I just went to a wedding with a taco bar and it was awesome!! 🌮 The taco bar was just part of the rest of the buffet table, so the toppings did slow down the line a bit.

Most of the times that I've seen a special food bar it's been in addition to a fairly standard buffet as a fun extra offering! You could definitely do food stations as well, I just don't think you want to do too many "assemble-it-yourself" bars or at a certain point it becomes work for your guests! hahah

The taco bar and mac and cheese bar ideas sound delicious to me! I've also seen mashed potato bar!
