I know how much we all love these posts so I’m going to post a couple of preview photos. I will not go into detail about how much I spent on everything just because my venue was all inclusive. But the venue with the florist, food, centerpieces, cake, food and open bar came to about 12k With 66 people. All in all I would say after the dress, tuxes alterations, photographer and extras it was around 16k.
We did go with a friendor and I tried so hard not to have her do the photography but after three times of shooting her down she begged me to be able to do it with her husband/coworker. She was able to capture the most amazing moments of our life and I couldn’t imagine anyone else taking pictures of that night and this goes to show you that you just need to know your crowd because she and her husband all danced the night away and had fun and ate food and still were there to capture moments and be super professional.
they also don’t drink because they’re Mormon so that made it less nerve wracking.
I don’t know anyone who follows my posts but I mentioned that my brother could not make it due to rehab, however during our vows he showed up with a bouquet of flowers and sat in the back... he was able to convince the rehab directors that he could stay there for one hour and had to drive back so he wasn’t there for the reception which is good because he missed the open bar but I cried so much..... amazing happily tears though.
Our vows went swell and we had a great night. If you have a chance to say your own vows I would say go for it. I have severe anxiety and fear of talking to people but when I was up there I didn’t skip a beat talking about him and our marriage. it was only him.
We screwed up on a lot of things but it was so amazing, it was never the vendors fault it was just us being silly and I think it just made it more us.
My ex was at the wedding which I know to a lot of you sounds crazy however I invited his mom, grandma and sister there, they have been my family for a while now and they brought me a something old and blue which was his great grandmother‘s bracelet made out of a blue stone from the 20s. I balled my eyes out seeing them more than anyone because they were there for me when i had no one and I love the relationship that me and my fiancé have with him and his family. it was so thoughtful and generous and they said I could keep it because they are proud of me and they love me so much and I am part of their family.
All I can say is that this day is amazing and I hope you guys have the most amazing day as well because it’s worth it.
