The morning started of early. Right on schedule...lol..let's say the morning started.
We had to be at the venue by 1:30 in order for my sister to get the cake set up, center pieces to be placed, everyone to get dressed etc.
We left my place running late...go figure.. okay, I can make up the time lost on I95, right? WRONG...accident on I95. Sis doesn't know how to use GPS on my phone. Panic setting in! Sis, call FH for directions. Bride does not know FH is running late too! Best man answers the phone and gives directions. Rerouted off highway...no clue where I am. It's now after 2pm...ceremony is at 3!!!
Hair and makeup are now beginning to wilt!!! Panic is taking over making it unsafe for anyone in the car to speak.
Finally at approx 2:30 we arrive at the venue!!! Mad insane dashes are made to the bridal suite. Quick glimpses of venue decor are noted in route. Once in bridal suite further panic ensues!! I need my dress, the bouques, boutonnieres, etc etc.
Photographer steps in to try to help organize things.
No pictures taken in pretty robes, things don't make it out to the venue. Ugh...ready to scream...
Owner of venue steps in. All of a sudden, there is order out of chaos!
Now we are escorted to the ceremony hall, ring bearer refuses to even touch ring pillow. Ok...fine...run rings to best man.
Attendants enter ceremony hall. Two beautiful doors are closed. I hear the music of my song to my FH play, the doors open, I hold on tightly to my son's arm, take that first step, and suddenly I see no one, but my FH. I walk toward him with so much love and watch him come to tears.
It was a perfect day! I married the man I love! The reception was great, but the perfection came from I DO!!
