Back fat/armpit overage?

Sharlee229, on October 26, 2016 at 5:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Ok, so I'm 16 days out from my wedding! Originally my dress had to be taken in at my first fitting because I went from a size 26 to a 12 and lost 85 pounds! The dress back had to be completely redesigned! So rather than a corset I saw my new dress back for the first time today and it is a zipper and buttons... well now, I have some overage (backfat/armpit overage) I've read there's some sort of tape you can use to tape this down? Does anyone have ideas how this works? I'm desperate! I love my dress but now I'm so discouraged! It was perfect now all I can see is excess skin flowing over! Help????

What you need is to be wearing the right bra. Back fat is a sign of having worn a poorly fitting bra for way too long. I'll link in another post, it explains why.

I heard that Rock Tape is a secret miracle! It's actually for athletes, but on their blog someone wrote a post about how it worked wonders for a similar trouble spot. Best of luck, I'm sure you will look lovely, and congrats on the weight loss!!!

Thanks y'all! My dress doesn't allow me to wear a bra. It has built in cups and I've actually been measured at victoria secret and the Hanse store here and wear the correct size bras! In my bras I never have this issues but in my dress now I do! Before it was redesigned I didn't have this issue so I'm confused! Now that it's taken in I don't think letting it out now at this time crunch is an option! :/ but I almost feel like under the arm pits it was maybe pulled a little to much? It's complete back fat.. it's just kinda around my armpits, If that makes sense!

You can use the sports tape to "pull down" the excess, probably not the comfortable, but do able.
