Back fat promblems...help

Crystal, on August 26, 2017 at 7:50 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

I had my dress fitting yesterday.. I love my dress from the front...but the way my back sticks out the top like a muffin top kills me. How do I fix this..be honest..I need some help on this one. Do I add a strap under my sparkles ones that will help hold the weight so the back can be let out? 3 weeks to wedding day..

I think the back is way too tight. Is it too late to add a corset back?

That is an amazing idea @BoudreauToBe! I don't think additional straps would look right.

The back is too tight..it should have been ordered up one size. I'd ask for a corset to be added.. but you might just have to go with how it is since it's 3 weeks out. Honestly, only you are going to notice it..guests aren't.

I could ask her to do a corset but I love my buttons :/

The dress was 2 sizes to big she altered the underarm to take the dress in but I think it needs out just a little..or something.

Bring it back and ask what they can do.

If you have someone take their hand, tuck it in between your dress and skin starting at the center and slide it out toward your armpit it smoothes out your skin and helps "tuck" in the fat. I did this for my sister as the bridal shop showed me the trick!

Honestly, I must be blind. When I saw back fat in the title of this post I was thinking this was going to be bad. OP I think it looks gorgeous and I've seen MUCH worse "back fat" on some of the brides that post their dresses that totally don't even acknowledge it.

I think it's the way the dress cuts, the chest is the same size as the waist (looks like it in the pic). Add a corset or go this a nice thick veil and no one will see it.

You could always work out a bit if it's too late for alterations. Lat pulldowns, renegade rows, cardio

My seamstress kinda pushed the extra skin down and forward (it was like magic lol) also you can get long extensions to cover that area

Take it back to the seamstress and ask for them to let it out so you have a little more room. Losing weight at this point will be very difficult. It doesn't look bad and likely only you will notice it, so just see if you can make it more comfortable.

Honestly I see nothing. You look great, and no one is going to notice and pics usually aren't from behind and if they are, your veil (if you're wearing one) will cover your insecurities.

Talk to your seamstress! See what they can do for you. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable/confident on your big day.

Is it hurting you at all? That would be my main concern.

Honestly, even if it isn't possible to alter at this point I truly think it looks fine. Smiley smile

I think the problem is your dress is too tight. Maybe you can get it taken out a little.

I have heard of brides using rock tape or kinesiology tape for this

Honestly I didn't even notice it, when I was trying on dresses my consultant put me in one that was so tight it looked like I had back boobs. I would try the tucking thing if you're that concerned about it and possibly wear a veil. No one will be noticing back fat, they'll be thinking about how beautiful you look in your dress.

Consider a longer veil. Might help hiding what you don't like.

I would say it needs to be let out a bit...mine was tight around my ribs too!

If it was taken in it can be let out a little so it fits better.
