Bachelorette Party Planning for Low-Key Bride

Rachel, on July 28, 2017 at 7:23 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

Hi Brides! I am the MOH for my friend who is getting married next month. Her bachelorette party is in a few weeks. She wanted to do something low key with just her bridesmaids (3 of us). We are spending Saturday at wineries then out to dinner/bar at night. Sunday is going to be a relaxing beach day. Even though we have the itinerary set up, I wanted some advice on little things I can do to make it fun! She is not the typical bride who wants strippers, penis necklaces, etc. Any other ideas though on how to make it special instead of just another girls weekend? I was thinking of doing some drinking games while out, scavenger hunt, etc. Any thoughts would be super helpful. Thank you!!!

We did something similar for one of my friends. Very low key. We all brought a bottle of alcohol that reminded us of the bride. We then shared a story explaining why it reminded us of the bride. Then we played the newlywed game. We asked the groom a ton of questions, ranging from PG to X. She had to guess his response. If she got it right, she gave a shot to one of us. If she got it wrong, she had to take a shot. We had a lot of questions, so we ended up doing half-shots.

Don't worry, I think lots of people don't want strippers and the like at their bachelorette parties. My DH had a scavenger hunt on his bachelor party, you could make up a quiz for the guests to take about how well they know the bride, there are lots of fun bachelorette party games you could play like the one Constance suggested, you could get a limo or other fancy car to take you around between wineries for a little added touch of glam... It sounds like you have a really fun weekend planned!

That sounds fun! I'd bring desserts to enjoy like brownies/cookies. And there are some photo pros out there that say bride to be and last fling before the ring you could take pics with

You could bring old pictures of her with the girls if she's been friends for a while with them.

And instead of risqué lingerie, you all could give her panties. I think the umbrella with a panty on each end tied (get it, it's raining panties) is really cute

I dunno, I think it sounds amazing as is!!!

Maybe a tiara for the bride? Just for some glitz?

Ah! That reminds me. We did a panty game where everyone brought panties and the bride had to guess who they were from.

My girlfriend has a combined bachelor/bachelorette pay that was after the rehearsal dinner and they just wanted it to be a capital thing. We were all pretty tired from setting up, the general, and the dinner, so we had a party the way we've always had a party - a few good bottles of wine, I made cake, and we watched cheesy movies and sang along with Rocky Horror <3

^^ a sash. OP, you're planning the same style bachelorette as my girls. A party bus for the winery tour, dinner, a super lazy beach day, and karaoke. Things you don't have to be wasted for to enjoy. I think the veil would be cute, and maybe get personalized glasses or bags for the winery tour. Good luck!

I'm at the beach waiting for my best friend (the bride this time) and her other BMs to get here! I bought a set of "flamingle" shirts for tomorrow to wear as bathing suit cover ups (no mention of bride/bridesmaids - just a white one for her and go for us) and bought these matching cups. We're going to take a 2-gallon water coolers with a lemonade/firefly mix in it so we'll be able to drink on the beach. We have the "what was the groom's answer" game to play too at some point

She got me a veil with tiny penis glitter sewn on for my bachelorette ("tasteful dicks" she called it - sold on Amazon if that's your thing) so I couldn't resist having just one penis thing. I found us some tiny penis sprinkles for our ice cream! I also brought the sash she bought for me for her to wear!

Thank you for all of the suggestions! I just ordered personalized wine glasses from etsy and will put some cute stuff in there (chocolate, advil for hangover, mini bottle of alcohol, etc.)

I'll def. get a veil or sash for the bride to wear

Drinking games sound perfect, maybe even a "never have I ever" type drinking game could be fun.

    Thanks again Smiley smile
