Bachelorette Party Ideas! - Need Your Help!

Kris10, on July 23, 2015 at 1:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Hey ladies- I could use your help; I'm in a friend's wedding and planning her bachelorette party for the end of September. The bride lives in Charlotte, the rest of us live in other cities and haven't spent much time in Charlotte. I would love suggestions of reasonably-priced hotels and/or fun places to host a party or dinner in Charlotte, NC.

Thanks!

I would start googling hotels or even going on sites like hotels.com. See if the bride to be has any special interest. My MOH's asked what I would like to do and all I told them was dinner and dancing lol I love to dance.

I'm not familiar with that area, but could you talk to the bride for some ideas since she's local?

The bride prefers it to be a surprise- she also just recently moved there; so she doesn't have a lot of "favorite places" yet. Does anyone have any ideas or have been to Charlotte and have any suggestions?

I've been to Charlotte once for work - it seemed like a great scene I just didn't get to spend much time there. Check out Tryon/Church/Collge Street area, I think thats the main restaurant area. I stayed at ALoft, I can't remember what the price was but it was RIGHT in the middle of everything.

I've never actually been to Charlotte, but I have heard good things about this:

Rooftop 210! Huge rooftop bar in the EpiCenter with a dance floor, cornhole, etc. Pretty much anywhere in the epicenter is fun - it's set up like a shopping mall, except instead of stores there are bars/restaurants, so if you aren't feeling one bar it's super easy and fast to go to another.

I live in Charlotte and my bachelorette party is next weekend. I am staying at Holiday Inn Center City. I used to work there; JJ (night manager) is awesome & will definitely make sure you're taking care of, they're reasonable, have a free shuttle within 3 miles & give out bar passes.

Epicentre is great for partying - several bars/restaurants in one place. I second Howl at the Moon - it's a great place to start the evening. The dueling pianos are hilarious & they have buckets of amazing cocktails to share. Smiley smile

Aloft hotel is a part of the EpiCentre, their rates are not bad especially if you book far in advance.

Music Factory is another cluster of bars/restaurants near uptown - they have a Wet Willies slushie bar, Label dance club, among other places.

For dinner, we're personally going to Cowbell (Uptown). It seems like a fun atmosphere. I've never been there yet, but I've heard great things.

Or... if Uptown isn't really your thing: Montford Drive is also full of bars, more for late 20/early 30-somethings. There's a bowling alley there that has a nightclub vibe, Park 10 Lanes.

Thank you ladies so much! I will definitely check out all of these- the bride is a music teacher so I think Howl at the Moon will be great for her (one just opened here in Pittsburgh and I love it!) The EpiCentre and Music Factory sound like they'd be great too; thank you so much for your hotel suggestions too- just looking online doesn't give a great idea of what the hotel is actually like, so I appreciate the help!

I would definitely ask your friend and get her input on what she is expecting!
