Bachelorette ideas in Dc?

Paige, on November 3, 2018 at 3:57 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 12

My bridesmaids and I are going to DC for my bachelorette party. We need some ideas of what to do and where to go since non of us are from the area. We all love to dance so we definitely want to do that as well as fun things to do during the day. Thank you in advance!

Ooooo look at the Watergate hotel.....I just saw on FB they are renting whiskey igloos in the evening. They look so nice. I emailed them this morning. My husband has his Christmas party in DC in December. Would love to go. But that would be a fun bachelorette place.

Sorry on my phone and I don’t know how to edit a comment. Cuba Libra is a delicious restaurant and around ten they move tables and chairs and it becomes a fun club.

Not sure what you’re into but you could check Groupon for local activities to do at a discounted price.

For my friend Cathy we did a party bus which was a lot of fun. This was almost ten years ago but I'm sure there are still party buses in the area. We went to a few bars and ended the night at a club for dancing!

I second the Watergate Hotel. They have an awesome roof bar called Top of the Gate with great views! For brunch, I recommend Old Ebbitt Grill.

When are you going? They have really fun party cruises on the Potomac, but I wouldn’t do it in the winter Smiley smile

I am from DC area- I would check out spots in Georgetown or the National Harbor area. National Harbor has casinos and tons of restaurants. During the day maybe a museum. They also have tons of food festivals depending on what time of year you are going!

I know they do brewery bus tours in DC, which is great if you like to try local craft beer! They also do the same for the wineries outside of the DC area. Caps games are always fun! See if there are any shows at the Anthem; the Wharf is incredible (I love Whiskey Charlie's!).

For brunch, I really like Old Ebbitts is really good and so is DC Harvest. For nice dinners, Requin (or something like that) on the Wharf is amazing, so is Kith and Kin (also on Wharf). If you like Belgium beer and/or mussels, Granville Moore's is amazing (looks like a hole in the whale, but I've never had bad service and the food and drinks are incredible!). There are a ton of other places, but that's the first few that come into my head lol.

Repeating what some other people say, depending on what season it is, dc has great and fun sports games. Caps (hockey), Wizards (basketball) and Nationals (baseball). CityCenter DC has great upscale restaurants and shops. The wharf is also fun. If you like casinos, MGM National Harbor is here and also has good restaurants. You can rent paddle boats and boards on the Potomac. Georgetown is a beautiful little neighborhood with a long Main Street of shops and restaurants. U street NW has bars and dance clubs and H Street NE has awesome laid back bars. There is a great "sports bar" called Nellie's that hosts an amazing Drag brunch (seriously, best Beyonce impersonator I've ever seen!). And there are so many delicious brunch/breakfast spots alllll over the city. There are great spas in the city. I'm blanking on other things but there is ALWAYS something to do in this city

Ditto with what everyone above is saying!!

Additionally, you should also look at the W bar in downtown DC, it has awesome views and is very chic. If you're into wine, you can also take wine tours of Loudon county which is about 45 minutes north of the city. Most of the limo companies in this area host them and its a lot of fun! We are doing one for our mini engagement party this spring. I LOVE living in DC as there is so much to do and see!! Good luck and let us know how it goes!
