Bachelorette Ideas, bridesmaids under 21

Kim, on January 10, 2022 at 11:11 PM Posted in Illinois Planning 0 3
Hello! I have 4 out of my 6 bridesmaids under 21. Two are my sisters and two are ladies that I grew up with (basically sisters). Youngest are 11 and 14 (I know they are young) but cant imagine them not next to me on my big day. However we are all struggling with coming up with ideas for a small bachelorette party. We are located near Chicago and would like to do something near by. Any ideas would be helpful!

What kind of activities do you like? You could do a spa day, or an arts & crafts type event (like a pottery class). Or, if you like cooking, a cooking class could be fun! And then you could all go for a nice dinner, if you want something for the evening. Or even just an old-school sleepover style party! Someone can either host or if it's in budget for everyone, rent a house somewhere. Have a lineup of movies ready, order pizza and just stay up late gossiping and bonding with your girls!

There are plenty of things you can do that the younger gals will enjoy without feeling as though you're treating them like kids, especially in the Chicago area. (I live there, too!) Are any of you into museums? The Field Museum or the Art Institute are great places to spend a day, especially with friends and family. A place like Dave & Buster's or Pinstripes might also be fun because they have games, particularly bowling. I don't know where in the Chicago area, but there's a similar place called King's Dining and Entertainment. I went to a bachelorette party there once where neither the bride nor most of the guests were big drinkers, but everyone still had a good time. I also vouch for the spa day, even if it's just mani-pedis. The possibilities are endless, and whatever you come up with in the end, everyone will have a good time. Good luck!

I agree a spa day would work really well, or some other kind of activity you can all do together, whether it's a cupcake decorating class, a cookery class, lunch on a boat, horse riding, a fancy high tea...
